Cabins now available at Carolina Beach

So this is my kind of camping ...

N.C. State Parks and Recreation has just opened four new two-room cabins at Carolina Beach, along with nine RV-friendly sites with full utilities at its 83-site campground, according to the state park's blog. The two-room cabins are made of logs from kits. They include double beds and bunk beds and can sleep up to six campers.
It's definitely not a rustic experience as they also include heating and air conditioning, electric outlets, picnic tables and open fire pits. Water is available from spigots that are outdoors. The cabins rent for $55 per night plus a $3 reservation fee when applicable. Reservations, which are highly recommended, can be made up to 11 months in advance. I have to imagine that these are booking up very quickly!

“For years, folks traveling in RV’s especially, have asked for upgraded campsites to include full water, electric and sewer utilities,” said Park Superintendent Chris Helms in the blog post, “while the addition of the cabins is just an added bonus for folks that want the camp experience without sleeping on the ground.”
