Presented by Dr. Kristen Wynns, of Wynns Family Psychology, this discussion will focus on the dangers of being best friends with your teen; how to be close but not too close with your teen; tools for having appropriate boundaries and limits with teens; the impact of social media on teens and how involved parents should be with Facebook and texting; and ways to enhance your teen’s self esteem and sense of self.
  • 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., April 17, Princesses and Drama Queens: Helping Tween and Teen Girls Navigate Their Social Lives. Girl World — a place of high drama and emotional lows! Mean girls, cliques, bullies, targets, bystanders…why can’t girls just get along? Join Tammy Finch, PhD, for a fast-paced, informative and practical tour of your daughter’s friendships. • 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., April 26. Recognize, Reduce and Respond: The Cycle of Parenting a Stressed-Out Child. Does your child complain about being tired and overwhelmed? Is he wired or wound up?
