Spring Lake apartment fire displaces one
The fire at the North Point Apartments on Pinecrest Street in Spring Lake started at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

SPRING LAKE, N.C. — A fire at a Spring Lake apartment complex Sunday afternoon remains under investigation.
The fire at the North Point Apartments on Pinecrest Street started at about 2:30 p.m., officials said.
Two units in the apartment building were destroyed by the fire, officials said. Only one of the units was rented. The occupant was not home at the time of the fire.
It took firefighters about 25 minutes to get the blaze under control.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident.
No injuries were reported.
The cause remained under investigation late Sunday.
