We must be getting close to Christmas! A Junior League of Raleigh's annual Spree! shopping extravaganza is this week.

The event runs from Thursday to Sunday at the Raleigh Convention Center. The sale will be full of people getting a jump start on their holiday shopping and features all kinds of clothing, accessories, home decor, items for kids and much more. General admission is $10 for a four-day pass. This is a very popular event!

If you want to beat the crowds, the sale always has a couple of early morning, stroller-free shopping opportunities. They are 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday. It costs $25 to shop early on Thursday and $15 to shop early on Saturday. You can buy these tickets at the door.

If you are considering those early shopping hours on Thursday, Marbles Kids Museum is offering free early morning extended care from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. as part of its Little Kids Learn series for kids ages 3 to 5.

Little Kids Learn is from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, at the museum in downtown Raleigh, not too far from the convention center. I wrote about these programs earlier. It's part of a new preschool series that Marbles is offering. The cost for this morning program is $35 for the general public and $30 for museum members.
To take advantage of the free hour of extended care so you can shop early, just register your kids for the class online and include "SPREE!" in the notes section of the online registration form. Also, be sure to show your SPREE! ticket when dropping of your child. Pre-registration is required. Click here for details and to sign up for the Marbles program.
