RALEIGH, N.C. — Speeding contributed to a tractor-trailer wreck that tied up traffic Friday morning on the ramp from U.S. 264 to Interstate 440 East toward Poole Road, Raleigh police found.

The report on the wreck concludes that driver David Tyler Horning, 39, of Chesapeake, Va., tried to take the turn of the ramp too fast and collided with the concrete guardrail. The truck flipped over, dumping a load of plywood.

No one was injured, but the ramp was closed for several hours.

Horning was charged cited for going 60 mph in a 55 mph zone.
