<b>SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.</b> — Police in Southern Pines are asking for help to find a 15-year-old last seen leaving home Sunday.

Summer Renne Jefferson, is black, stands approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has long black braided hair.

She was last seen wearing red pants and a black T-shirt, and police say she might be carrying a light tan canvas backpack with a teal trim.

Anyone with information about Jefferson's whereabouts should call the Southern Pines Police Department at 910-692-7031 or 910-693-4110.

According to the Danville Police Department, officers received a tip of prior animal abuse at a pet grooming store on Hairston Street in Danville. In the complaint, a video showed the employee, identified as 22-year-old Cassidy Gill, striking a dog in January and February. The video in the complaint was shared with other social media accounts, including PETA.
