Southern Pines man sentenced to life in prison

A Moore County man has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2013 shooting of a 33-year-old Southern Pines man.

MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — A Moore County man has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2013 shooting of a 33-year-old Southern Pines man.

Carlouse Latour Allbrooks, 33, of Southern Pines, was sentenced Friday after being convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Tyrone Terry Allmond on Sept. 12, 2013.

Authorities said Allbrooks shot Allmond six times around 11 p.m. following an argument at the Brookside Park Apartments in Southern Pines.

Allbrooks fled the scene following the shooting but was eventually found and arrested in Hamlet, N.C.
