DURHAM, N.C. — Police evacuated some buildings in southeast Durham Friday morning where a person had himself barricaded inside a home.

Police said the man, inside 607 Ellis Road, had threatened to harm himself. By 1:30 p.m., he agreed to come out, and no one was injured, police said.

For about two hours, authorities closed off the street outside the home and asked employees of nearby businesses, which include SciGrip and ChessonLabs to leave the area.
