Snow Day Hours: Museums, libraries reopen Wednesday
We're getting a one-two punch of wintry weather this week, but we might have a window of time today when the roads aren't so slippery and we can get out and about before we are shut in again.

We're getting a one-two punch of wintry weather this week, but we might have a window of time today when the roads aren't so slippery and we can get out and about before we are shut in again.
Some of the popular local destinations are operating with special hours today. These are the plans as of this writing, but things can change. So be sure to check before you go. Here's when they are open:
Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh will open at 11 a.m., Wednesday. Its IMAX theater will open at noon, Wednesday.
The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences will open at noon, Wednesday. It's special exhibit "The World's Largest Dinosaurs" is open. Also, the museum's Investigate Labs offer lots of hands-on activities for all ages.
The Museum of Life and Science in Durham hasn't announced a change to its operating hours on Wednesday yet. It usually is open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check in with the museum before you go.
The N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh will open at noon, Wednesday.

Raleigh parks and recreation programs and facilities will open at 10 a.m., Wednesday.
Durham parks' centers and facilities were scheduled to open at 10 a.m.
The N.C. Zoo in Asheboro is closed through at least Wednesday.
Wake County libraries plan to open at noon, Wednesday. Check with your local branch to see if that's still the plan as some may open at different times.
The Durham County Library will open at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday.
