CARY, N.C. — From delicious snacks, knocking down some bowling pins and kick back to watch Hollywood's latest movie -- Cary has a new and improved experience that may look familiar to some.

Frank Theatre Cinebowl and Grille is getting a facelift. Now, general manager Robert Marvin said employees are hoping to create an even better staple with Paragon Theater and Penny Lane Bowling.

"As someone who's lived in Raleigh for over 12 years, it's somewhere where I've been to before, so coming in under a new company, I knew what the expectations would be. So, living up to that, but also superseding it," said Marvin.

Marvin said he plans on exceeding expectations by working alongside the agency for their bar and restaurant and making the movie theater experience even better than before.

But, Marvin said with the coronavirus pandemic still around, employees are working to keep everyone as safe as possible.

"COVID is a big thing right now, and again, my main priority is the safety of my staff and the guests," he explained.

But, Marvin said regardless of added COVID-19 safety protocols, everyone can still have fun and be safe at the same time.

"Right now, you can come here to eat. you could come here to bowl and also have fun in the arcade, but come November, that's when the movie theater will officially open," said Marvin.

While many business owners have said it's been difficult to hire and keep a full staff, Marvin said he's doing fine because they're paying well. Marvin added that the entire staff at Paragon is vaccinated and are brand new to the job.

Paragon is open Thursday through Sunday.
