A quick note to share that Smart Momma, the north Raleigh baby store, is now holding play groups in its specialty room.

Toys and playmats are provided. Play groups are broken up by age. Here's the schedule:

  • 9 a.m. Tuesdays: New mom support group for all new moms with babies newborn to six months
  • 9 a.m. Wednesdays: For moms with babies ages 9 months to 17 months
  • 9 a.m. Thursdays: For moms with babies ages 4 months to 8 months
  • 9 a.m. Fridays: For moms with 18-month-olds to two-year-olds

The play groups are free. You just need to show up. Store owner and mom Heather Burns started them about a month ago. She'd love to see some Go Ask Mom readers out there.

You'll find all manner of baby accessories, nursery decor, strollers, breastfeeding accessories, car seats and more at Smart Momma. See my earlier post about the store.
The store is located at 8601 Glenwood Ave, Suite A (across from Carmax, just south of I-540 at the Highway 70 exit). It also will have a special Mother's Day event on May 7 featuring a trunk show; sale; information on doulas and breastfeeding; and much more. Click here for details.
