RALEIGH, N.C. — Local college football on Saturday afternoon and the final weekend of the North Carolina State Fair should see seasonable temperatures, low humidity and mostly clear skies, WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel said.

Were rising into the 50s as the sun rose Saturday morning, headed for a high near 70 degrees.

A high pressure system that arrived Friday will keep both temperatures and humidity in check throughout the weekend, Fishel said. Temperatures will top out in the low 70s Saturday and upper 60s Sunday.

"A scintillating weekend from start to finish," Fishel said. "A few fair-weather clouds will be in the area both days, but they won't take away from two beautiful days. We've really dried out and the dew points will remain low for the next few days."

Those who head to the beach for a late-season visit will see bright sunny days and lows in the 50s. In the mountains, where fall color is peaking, it will be cooler – highs only in the 60s with lows just about 40 degrees.
