Detectives with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office arrested six men Thursday in a human trafficking investigation dubbed "Operation Save Our Children 2015."

Six arrested in Cumberland County human trafficking investigation
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Detectives with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office arrested six men Thursday in a human trafficking investigation dubbed "Operation Save Our Children 2015."

Alexis Santon, 18, Randall Jerome Knapp, 41, James Daniel Bradford, 26, and Reginald Bateau, 32, all of Fayetteville, Charles Ray Moore, 50, of West End, and Roberto Carol Morales-Rivera, 30, of Lumberton are each charged with soliciting a minor child for the purpose of prostitution.

On Monday, in a separate human trafficking case, Derek Wayne McKoy, 25, was sentenced to a minimum of five and a half years in jail for prostituting a minor, authorities said. McKoy must also register under the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry for the next 30 years and was ordered to remain under a GPS monitoring system for two years following his release from prison,

“Operation Save Our Children 2015” is designed to identify and assist victims of human trafficking.
