SILER CITY, N.C. — A 28-year-old Siler City man died in a single-vehicle wreck on Palmers Chapel Road shortly before midnight Saturday.

State troopers said that Jason Hebert Clark was driving southeast on Palmers Chapel Road, about 8.5 miles south of Siler City. His vehicle went off the right side of the road, and Clark managed to bring it back onto the roadway. But his vehicle crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle overturned, ejecting Clark.

Troopers said that the wreck was caused by speeding and that Clark was not wearing a seatbelt.
