Shooting Victim Left at Hospital, Dies

A Fayetteville man died Wednesday evening after being shot and dropped off at Highsmith Rainey Hospital, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A local man died Wednesday evening after being shot and dropped off at Highsmith Rainey Hospital, police said.

Bobby E. Clemmons, 23, whose last known address was 307 Campbell Ave., was left at the emergency entrance to the hospital at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Clemmons had been shot and later died of his injuries, police said.

Later Wednesday, officers recovered the vehicle they believe Clemmons was in when he was dropped off at the hospital. The black Kia was located near Fordham Drive.

The location where the shooting occurred hasn't yet been determined, police said.

Police said they had no information on possible suspects or a motive.
