Serious dog attack reported at Johnston County hotel

Two people were attacked by a pit bull Thursday afternoon at the Travelers Inn located in Four Oaks, according to authorities.

FOUR OAKS, N.C. — Two people were attacked by a pit bull Thursday afternoon at the Travelers Inn located in Four Oaks, according to authorities.

The dog was shot and killed following the attack, and transported to Johnston County animal control for further testing, officials said.

Police said the victims—a man and a woman—were bitten on their arms during the attack and transported to WakeMed Hospital.

The condition and names of the victims have not been released.
