Hopscotch, bluegrass among September 'M.A.I.N.' events
For the second year in a row, downtown Raleigh is filling September with a variety of music, art, innovation and noise.

On Friday, Mayor Nancy McFarlane announced the full list of 20 events happening next month. Not everything could fit into September, so there are a few events falling just before and after.
“September is the ‘main’ month of the year in terms of major annual events in Downtown Raleigh and becoming even more so every year,” McFarlane said during a press conference. “While each of the September events is unique and has a dedicated following, there is a thread of music, art, innovation and noise connecting them. The resident or visitor who is planning to attend one event will have a great time sampling another in September."
