A couple of big names are headed to Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh in the next couple of weeks.
The first is Jon Scieszka, known for his re-imagined fair tales such as "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs;" his Trucktown books; and the Time Warp Trio series. He'll be at Quail Ridge at 7 p.m., Monday, with the first book of a new science-based series. It's "Frank Einstein and the Antimatter Motor." Best for ages 8 and up.
And Eric Litwin, who wrote and performed the music for the first four Pete the Cat books, has a new book called "The Nuts: Bedtime at the Nut House." Litwin, a singer and songwriter, returns with the story and music. It's best for ages 3 and up. This is a signing line ticket event, which means that you'll get a ticket for the signing line with a purchase of The Nuts from Quail Ridge. Litwin also will sign one of his Pete the Cat books as well. Litwin will be at Quail Ridge at 3 p.m., Sept. 7.
