LILLINGTON, N.C. — Harnett County authorities have charged a Sanford man in a shooting death a week ago at a Bunnlevel shed known as a party spot.

Adrian Jerome Womack, 31, was charged with first-degree murder in the Aug. 2 slaying of Tony McKoy, 26, of Dunn.

McKoy was shot at 587 Nutgrass Road in Bunnlevel, a backyard shed that neighbors say often draws dozens of party-goers on weekend nights.

A Spring Lake man was killed at the shed in September 2007, and local and state authorities said they are trying to shut the site down.

Harnett County deputies and members of the U.S. Marshal's Service Violent Offender Task Force arrested Womack at a Lee County residence. He was being held without bond in the Harnett County Jail.
