Sampson County mowers find slain man
A man found in a ditch along Brewer Road in Faison Thursday morning had been shot to death, according to the Sampson County Sheriff's Office.
Posted — UpdatedFAISON, N.C. — A man found in a ditch along Brewer Road in Faison Thursday morning had been shot to death, according to the Sampson County Sheriff's Office.
County employees were mowing grass at 9:00 a.m. when they discovered the body. The victim had been shot multiple times in the head and chest, according to the Sampson County medical examiner.
The victim is described as a black male in his late 30s or early 40s. Attempts to identify the man have been unsuccessful, and the investigation is ongoing.
