Roxboro plant to close by year's end
A manufacturer in Roxboro said Monday that it will close its plant there by the end of 2009. Loxcreen makes aluminum and plastic building products.
Posted — UpdatedROXBORO, N.C. — A manufacturer in Roxboro said Monday that it will close its plant there by the end of 2009. Loxcreen makes aluminum and plastic building products.
The company is based in South Carolina and has divisions in Georgia, Texas, Oregon and Missouri. The North Carolina plant had been operational for more than 40 years.
Loxcreen has been restructuring throughout 2009, and has eliminated more than 100 jobs already. About 10-13 people will remain at a distribution center in Roxboro, a company spokesman said.
