the group up there. Yeah, that's always a blast. That was my third one here. That's a great day, you know, were first one where we knew we had the auto bid obviously, but really fun, you know, always fun to kind of go through the bracket and see where we end up and we're really excited. Obviously. I asked both Joey and coach this, it just seems like you guys are so relaxed up there, so confident right now just as a whole. But as the season has kind of shifted from where you were, maybe like april to where we are now. Just kind of how have you seen that transition as far as confidence wise? Yeah, we'll definitely been a tale of two stories for us Early on was obviously rough. But these last 12 games has been like, You know, something that uh really special. Um 10 a. c. c wins in a row is you know, pretty tough to do. It's given us a lot of confidence I think are starting pitching has been great uh throwing up a lot of zeros early. So yeah we're really excited describing on you right now going into the terminal you had a blast the sixties. Yeah individually you know starting to hit my stride. I feel like a little bit um you know start to put good swings on the ball, feeling really relaxed up there, confident. What I said a lot in charlotte about our offense was you know it feels like it's a different guy every day with our offense were you know one day Joey one day R. J. Peter so just being able to you know have an offence where anyone can contribute on a given day is giving us a lot of confidence describe the range of emotions that you guys went from when you look to be dead in the water and not even going to qualify for the A. C. C. Tournament, then you knock off 12 straight wins, wins. And now here you are with the automatic bid A. Cc champions. Just describe the emotions from that point to where you are right now today. Well, a lot of after that sunday doubleheader in Louisville, a lot of those publications said, I believe they said, Duke needs a miracle and we kind of, you know, agree with that. Obviously you looked at the numbers then and we definitely did. Um, but you know, we always stayed in it. I think one thing that coach always talks about is something that separates us from other sec teams that, you know, when we get towards this point in the season, a lot of teams they stumble and they get top for whatever reason they get tired or they don't stay in the fight like coach says, and you know, we've done that for four years and um, you know, we just took it one game at a time and to be able to, you know, knock off, walk straight and be in this position is really exciting. Um, and your comments on the regional that you guys Knoxville regional, the matchups that you see right there, I mean, can you guys keep this wave going and then get to another super regional? Yeah. So number three overall, see Tennessee, obviously a great team had a lot of success in One of the best conferences in college baseball. Uh, right state. One of the best offenses, offenses in the country. Um, have like the best teams lash line. I think one of the top five team slash lines in the country. And then Liberty were really familiar with really good team, play them well both times hoping to do that again. So really talented regional, good regional, but we feel like it's a good matchup for us. I think we're familiar with Liberty, which is definitely an advantage. Um, and you know, we know how to win in hostile environments and our coach was talking about that and I think we're set up really well. Just from your standpoint, obviously lots been talked about how extremely well this group has pitched down the stretch and obviously just now in the sec tournament from your standpoint, uh, just how have you seen the staff adapts to chris Gordon and that kind of transition and how it kind of took a little while. Yeah. I think obviously between pitching coach and pitching staff trust is a huge thing These past 12 games. We've gotten really good starts. I think that's obviously In college baseball when you play three games in a weekend. I think starting pitching is super important for the florida state game where Billy Seidel started. You know, not normally one of our weekend starters, but just turned into a really solid three and a third. Um, kept us in the ball game the whole time. And I think, you know, as we continue in our starting pitching stays hot, I think, I think that's going to be really important for us. You have made a private this year. You know, you've made some about a couple of days and everything and uh, we didn't have it last year. How good is the feel of two after not having to be back? Yeah, postseason baseball, postseason, college baseball is the best. I think. I think back to that time in Morgantown where we're playing in front of 7500 rowdy fans and beating them and there's nothing like that. And in charlotte NC State travels well, their fan base travels really well and to win that game, um, in front of a mostly red crowd was, was really awesome as well. So, you know, carl, uh, playoff baseball is just like, it's the best thing and we're really excited mike and give you a chance to catch, drop back a little bit. four games in Charlotte, one walk, no start, no stolen base attempts. Nobody even tried to run on your ability to frame the pitch and get strikes in the corner to block the ball in the dirt hold. I mean, that was a pivotal part of that week. You talk a little bit about not giving up the importance of not giving up three bases, extra bases and how that's going to help do this week. Well, it's huge. That's a massive reason why we gave up five runs in four games is during a ton of strikes. Obviously I started patient staff and coach Gordon? Um, and then controlling the running game. You know, we were really good with, you know, pick off attempts. Coach polygons talks about in the stolen base game preventing the attempt rather than focusing on throwing guys out if we can, you know, not even allow guys to try to steal. That's the really important thing. Um, yeah. So I think, I think just not having that stolen base attempt and keeping guys off the basepaths really helped us keep that opponent total down CUBA's performance yesterday, his last regular season start against pension 14 to hit four batters walked three years. We all know he's got electric stuff, but, but it's command was all over the place. What happened in 10 days to turn in for that guy who can shut down one of the best offices in the country? Well cooper, no matter how that start goes, he prepares the exact same throughout the week. Um, that guy is the most process oriented guy. I've been around in a long time. He has his routine, he falls in love with it and he never gets wavered. You know, he had a rough start in Clemson with his commands and then, you know, one start later, he just goes out and does that. So it just shows you the type of guy he is and you know, we always feel good when he's on the mound and his ability to just attack the zone with his stuff. Like you said, he's a dangerous starting pitcher. You guys have been working together for a long time. What's your comfort level with him out there? His comfort level with you? Yeah. We talked before, um, every star just like I do with most starting pitchers for him, you know, just just being a good mental space. I mean, he's uh really analytical smart guy whenever he's pitching on a weekend, he takes his notebook and writes down notes on whatever he feels like will help him. So, you know, just talking through that stuff with him and like I said, with his process, he always has a plan and it's just really, really good at committing to it and, you know, executing it to the best visibility. And that's what he did. Awesome. Thank you.

Hi, everyone. Meteorologist Anthony Baglione here in the Wral Severe Weather Center. Let's talk about our forecast as we head into the upcoming week. As we head past this weekend, we have a couple of things there, what we're tracking as far as sunshine returning. So it's been definitely kind of a cloudy weekend for most of us on the whole. Should be a very pleasant start to the week though. Some sunshine getting through warmer temperatures, nineties by the time we get into our Thursday and then a holiday weekend, rain chances very early starting on, let's say Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We're just tracking the potential for some rain heading into the holiday weekend. I'll talk about that here in just a second. Otherwise, let's talk about what we're looking at here. Future cast wise, there could be a spotty Sprinkle as we get into tonight for the most part though. Uh, just about everyone's quiet. Something to keep in mind though. There could be some fog out there for your Monday morning commute. We should start off with a little bit of fog. We'll start off with partly cloudy skies and really keep a mix of sun and clouds through the majority of the day. It'll be dry though to start the week and actually a pretty good day. If you want to just enjoy out on the patio or something, it should be fine. Maybe firing up the grill tomorrow night. Sounds kind of good. We go to 80 degrees for a high temperature tomorrow. 76 at seven o'clock. And then we start to see a warm up once again. 84 on Tuesday, 88 on Wednesday, we should hit 91 by the time we get to our Thursday 86 on Friday. And I know a lot of times when that heat kind of comes back into the forecast that begs the question, is it gonna feel gross as you walk outside? I really don't think it will the next couple of days it does get back in the humid kind of category though for us Thursday, Friday, we're not quite too tropical where we could be during the summertime months. But I think for our Monday, Tuesday, even into Wednesday, it should feel fine as you're headed out. Just a little bit of humidity. There's what we're looking at here the next seven days. 80 on our Monday, 84 on Tuesday, we go to 88 Wednesday 91 Thursday. You see those rain chances starting to come in there. Thursday, Thursday night, a stray shower or a thunderstorm. The best chances at the this point look to come in Friday night, Saturday during the morning, we may get a break. Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon doesn't look like total drenching conditions, but just enough where if you're traveling, you may want to keep an eye on the forecast here with a couple of chances of showers and storms.
