RALEIGH, N.C. — Some changes to report in the route for April's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half-Marathon.

Raleigh leaders approved event organizers' request to change the original route to accommodate church services that will be taking place that day. The marathon is planned for April 13, which is Palm Sunday.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series combines musically themed marathons and half-marathons with live entertainment. It has been described as "a 26.2-mile block party." Runners encounter cheer squads and local bands lining the course.
The event will also include a two-day Health and Fitness Expo at the Raleigh Convention Center.
