Robeson probation officer faces sex charges
A Robeson County probation and parole officer has been charged with various sex-related offenses involving someone he supervised, authorities said Tuesday.
Posted — UpdatedThe State Bureau of Investigation on Friday charged Willie McBryde, 55, with sexual activity by a custodian, sexual battery, assault on a female and indecent exposure.
No details about the case have been released.
McBryde has been placed on administrative duty pending an investigation of the charges, Department of Correction spokesman Keith Acree said. He won't be supervising anyone until the charges are resolved, Acree said.
McBryde has been a probation and parole officer since May 2005.
