Robeson county woman reported missing

A 50-year-old Robeson County woman went missing Aug. 30 en route to Duke University Medical Center.

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Authorities in Robeson County are searching for Carol Wainwright, 50, who went missing Aug. 30. 

Wainwright, of Pembroke, was last seen leaving the Townsend Pharmacy in Red Springs and was headed to the Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Wainwright is 6 feet tall, weighs 180 pounds and has black, shoulder-length hair.

Wainwright may have been wearing a beige pullover shirt and blue jeans, and she was driving a dark blue 2001 Ford Explorer with North Carolina license plate number ZRV-1134. 

Anyone with information on Wainwright's whereabouts should contact the sheriff's office at 910-671-3170 or the Red Springs Police Department at 910-843-3454.
