Robeson County hospital expanding into medical park

Southeastern Regional Medical Center is moving forward with plans to build a 60,000-square-foot medical facility in Lumberton.

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Southeastern Regional Medical Center is moving forward with plans to build a 60,000-square-foot medical facility in Robeson County, the health care provider says.

Phase I of the planned Southeastern Health Park will include a 13,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center as well as a comprehensive orthopedic, gastroenterology and outpatient rehabilitation centers.

Construction on the $19.5 million project is expected to begin this fall on a tract of land on Dawn Drive in Lumberton.
