Robbery suspect charged with attempted murder

Authorities charged a Raleigh man with attempted murder after what the magistrate described as a robbery gone wrong.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities charged a Raleigh man with attempted murder on Saturday after what the magistrate described as a robbery gone wrong.

Eric Alexander Glenn, 19, of 704 Raleigh Blvd., allegedly shot Derrick King with a .45-caliber gun on April 25.

Police said the shooting occurred around 1:22 a.m. outside a home at 1010 beach Point Ave.

Marquez Forte, 22, has been charged as an accessory after the fact in connection with this incident.

King suffered severe trauma and has been hospitalized since the shooting, according to the arrest warrant. He has undergone two surgeries, including one for a collapsed lung.

Glenn is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
