Roanoke Rapids woman charged in stabbing
A Roanoke Rapids woman faces charges that she tried to kill a man during a domestic dispute Saturday.
Posted — UpdatedROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — A Roanoke Rapids woman faces charges that she tried to kill a man during a domestic dispute Saturday.
Lt. Neil Aycock, with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office, said the victim, whose name wasn't released, was stabbed in the chest at a home on Melody Lane. He was treated for his injuries at Halifax Regional Hospital.
Kisha Neshawn Hunter was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Hunter was placed in the Halifax County jail and denied bond. Her first court appearance was set for April 18.
