Chief Jeff Hinton said Thursday that he's leaving so he can focus on his family.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Roanoke Rapids’ police chief is retiring at the end of the month.
Chief Jeff Hinton said Thursday that he's leaving so he can focus on his family.
Hinton has been police chief for three years and has been with the police department for 30 years.
There’s no indication yet as to how the city plans to proceed in naming a new chief.
