The Halifax County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection with an April 30 stabbing in the Zoo Road area of Roanoke Rapids.

<b>ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C.</b> — The Halifax County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection with an April 30 stabbing in the Zoo Road area of Roanoke Rapids.

Ricky Wilson Clements, 54, was charged Saturday with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was given an $80,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court May 16.

Details of the stabbing incident weren't released.

Clements has 11 convictions dating to 1985, including assault inflicting serious injury, according to state Division of Adult Correction records.
