DURHAM, N.C. — Fans of Rise donuts can now get their fix at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The local shop will have a kiosk on the main concourse during Durham Bulls games. Favorites including the creme brulee donut and the maple bacon bar will be available.

The stand is part of a partnership with Rise owner Tom Ferguson, who also owns Durham Catering Company. The Durham Bulls and Bull City Hospitality announced a partnership with the catering company on Monday to provide food and service in the membership-only PNC Triangle Club and suite level at the DBAP.

“One of our primary goals in bringing the ballpark’s food and beverage operation in-house was to deliver a more local approach,” Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said. “Durham Catering has a sterling reputation in our community and we are positive this partnership will elevate the level of quality and service in our premium areas.”

Durham Catering Company will also serve as the exclusive caterer for special events at DBAP, including weddings, parties, corporate events and more.

“I’ve wanted to break into sports venue catering for over five years,” Ferguson said. “I’m happy and excited that the Bulls are willing to place their trust in Durham Catering Co. to raise the level of guest experience above and beyond that of other sports venues.  We look forward to seeing what the future brings for this dynamic new partnership!”

The Durham Bulls open the 2015 season on the road April 9, before returning to the DBAP for the home opener on Wednesday, April 15.
