Friday is now a WRAL Weather Alert Day. Parts of Hoke, Cumberland and Sampson counties are under a level 2 risk for storms Friday afternoon and evening. The biggest threat will be damaging winds and heavy rain, but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out in our southern counties. The storms are expected to impact these areas from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Police are investigating a shoe theft in Fayetteville.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Police are investigating a shoe theft in Fayetteville.

According to police, a thief stole 10 shoes Wednesday from a clearance table outside a Shoe Show store, located on Eastern Boulevard. However, all of the shoes that were stolen were for the right foot.

Police said the stolen shoes were worth a total of $65. They do not have a suspect.
