Rewards offered in two unsolved Durham homicides

Crime Stoppers rewards are being offered for information leading to arrests in two 2010 homicides, Durham police said Wednesday.

DURHAM, N.C. — Crime Stoppers rewards are being offered for information leading to arrests in two 2010 homicides, Durham police said Wednesday.

Carlos Noe Parada Rivas, 19, was shot on Sept. 25, 2010,and died at Duke University Hospital. Investigators said they believe the shooting took place in the area of Duke Street and Horton Road in northern Durham, and they don't believe it was a random act.

Marquis Deir Orr, 27, was shot in a back parking lot of the Millennium Hotel on Campus Walk Drive on Dec. 3, 2010. Investigators said they don't believe this was a random shooting either.
