Reward offered in Durham Freeway shooting death

Crime Stoppers has offered a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the June 18 shooting death of a man along the Durham Freeway.

DURHAM, N.C. — Crime Stoppers has offered a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the June 18 shooting death of a man along the Durham Freeway.

Police said Michael Orlando Hunter, 30, was shot along the exit ramp from the Durham Freeway onto Fayetteville Street. Hunter managed to drive about 200 yards after being shot, then his black BMW 323 ran off the road and hit a tree near Jackie Robinson Drive.

Anyone with information about Hunter's death is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
