Farm Days at NC State on April 10, 2013
Just a reminder: The very popular Farm Animal Days, designed for preschoolers to first graders, is this week.

The event is intended for school field trips, but individual families and small groups are welcome to come. I know there are lots of kids tracked out right now!

The event lets kids get up closed and personal with a variety of farm animals. There also are tractors to explore and some ice cream to eat.

It's scheduled 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, rain or shine. If you want to beat the crowds, get there at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. before the school groups get there or after they have left.

This media cannot be viewed right now.

It's at N.C. State's Beef Educational Unit, 4505 Mid Pines Rd., south of Raleigh off Lake Wheeler Road.
