Red Hat Amphitheater hosts free family concert on Saturday
The downtown Raleigh amphitheater will feature two local bands for families - Sandbox and Mommie - on Saturday.
Posted — UpdatedMy family went to the first one, which was sparsely attended in the afternoon, but continued long after we left around 4 p.m. We still had a good time. My kids enjoyed some free face painting. There were balloon artists and activities from Marbles Kids Museum. And the performers on stage, all community groups, were fun to watch.
Sandbox plays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mommie is on from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The concert wraps up with Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., and Michael Franti and Spearhead from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Doors open at 2 p.m. No tickets are required. It's free!
