Spider eggs

If you're headed to a Halloween potluck Friday night, here's an easy holiday dish to pass.

I first saw a picture for these deviled eggs with spiders on a friend's Facebook page. When I did a Google search, they were all over the place, but I figured I'd recreate them myself.

Spider Eggs
Make your favorite deviled egg recipe. FoodNetwork.com has an easy one if you don't have one on hand.

To make the spiders, take whole black, pitted olives. Black olives can come in several sizes. I used a can of the small size. Cut the olives in half, lengthwise, for the body.

Place half of the olive in the center of the deviled egg. Cut the rest of the olives, lengthwise, into four pieces to make the legs. Place eight of those along the body for the legs. And you're done!

For a spicy, Black Widow-like version, I'll add a dot of Sriracha, the Asian chili sauce, to the body.
