I found this recipe on a variety of sites touting kid-friendly recipes. So I thought I'd give it a shot as soup simmered in the slow cooker one day.

This recipe was so easy - and lots of fun to make.

Bread in a Bag
3 cups all purpose flour, divided
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 package rapid rise yeast (2¼ tsp)
1 cup warm water
3 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil

1½ tsp salt

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and grease a loaf pan. Get a resealable plastic bag and get to work.

First, pour 1 cup of flour, the sugar, yeast and warm water into the bag. Squeeze out the air as you seal the bag. Then squish, toss, massage the bag together until it's all mixed together.

Let it sit for 10 minutes at room temperature.

Then, open the bag and put 1 cup of flour, the oil and salt.

Seal the bag and squish it around again until it's mixed.

Then, add the last cup of flour, seal the bag and mixed it all together.

Pull the dough out of the bag and place it on a floured surface.

Knead it for 5 or 10 minutes until the dough is smooth.

Place the dough in your greased loaf pan and cover with a towel to rise for about 30 minutes.

Bake for about 30 minutes until its golden brown.

Serve! This was delicious with the soup and great the next day, toasted for breakfast.
