The children's programs at JC Raulston have been really popular this spring, I'm told, including some Friday morning storytimes and a program on butterflies.

On Wednesday, June 20, the arboretum near N.C. State will host a Summer Solstice Ice Cream Social. It's from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. They'll have some free activities, including a collaborative weaving project. There will be ice cream sundaes made with N.C. State's Howling Cow ice cream (which happens to be one of my favorite local ice creams). At the end of the evening, you'll be able to watch the sunset from the top of the A.E. Finley Rooftop Terrace.
This activity is free for all ages, you just need to preregister. For details and to preregister, go to the event page on Raulston's website.
