Raleigh woman accused of using counterfeit money

A Raleigh woman is accused of using counterfeit money to buy items off of Craigslist, police said.

Jasmin Renee Singletary, 23, of 5413 Holland Farms Way, was being held under a $45,000 bond in the Wake County jail on Thursday night.

Singletary is charged with obtaining property under false pretense and uttering a forged instrument, according to arrest warrants.

In one case, she is accused of using fake $20 bills to buy an Xbox 360 and Play Station 3, worth more than $400.

Police said she met at least seven of her alleged victims through Craigslist.
