Raleigh seeks residents' feedback on transportation center
Raleigh residents are invited to submit ideas to help shape development of an area of downtown that will house a planned multi-modal transportation center, or MTC.
Posted — UpdatedThe MTC would be in the Downtown West Gateway area on Hargett Street between West Street and Boylan Avenue.
It would connect Raleigh’s multiple transportation modes, including CAT bus service, Triangle Transit’s regional bus service, long-distance bus service (Trailways and Greyhound), Amtrak rail service, The Carolinian and The Piedmont rail services and future regional and high speed rail services.
The city’s consultant on the project, HDR, is coming up with a development vision for the area near the proposed MTC.
As part of the process, Raleigh residents are asked to share their ideas on what the MTC should look like and how it may help shape development in the area.
Ideas should be e-mailed, mailed or delivered to:
E-mail: Raleigh-MTC@hdrinc.com
The deadline to submit ideas is July 24 at 5 p.m.
