Stroller Strides of Raleigh is planning its next session of Raleigh Running Mamas, a 5K and 10K training program for moms.

The next session starts March 2. The program is designed for all levels - from moms who have never run a race to moms who want to get back into running or improve their race times.

This spring's program offers training options for working and stay at home moms with weekday and/or weekend training sessions in west Cary, southwest Raleigh and Apex. Participants can attend one or both of the coached weekly sessions.

They'll also receive a training plan to complete one to two additional runs on their own each week, along with weekly training emails, clinics on topics that include reducing injury, buying the right shoes, nutrition and hydration for runners and more. Participants are welcome to run with or without their stroller-riding child.

The program culminates with the 5K Run for our Heroes on April 28 and/or the Inside Out NC Roadrunners 10K on May 20.
