Raleigh police seek man in BB&T robbery

Raleigh police are looking for a black man in his 50s with a salt-and-pepper mustache, the suspect in a bank robbery Friday morning in far northeast Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are looking for a black man in his 50s with a salt-and-pepper mustache, the suspect in a bank robbery Friday morning in far northeast Raleigh.

A 6-foot-tall man wearing light blue jeans, a brown hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, a dark blue or black coat, black shoes and gloves robbed the BB&T bank at 3001 Leland Drive just before 9:30 a.m., according to Jim Sughrue, a spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department.

Sughrue said no one was injured, but he did not disclose how much money was stolen.
