Raleigh police seek bank robber

Raleigh police released surveillance images from the SunTrust Bank inside a Kroger store that was robbed Friday afternoon in hopes that the public can help identify the culprit.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police released surveillance images from the SunTrust Bank inside a Kroger store that was robbed Friday afternoon in hopes that the public can help identify the culprit.

The images show a white man, about 6 feet 4 inches tall with a slender build and a close-cropped beard. He is wearing a light blue T-shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and an orange hat. 

Police said the man passed a note to a teller at the bank, inside the Kroger store at 6300 Creedmoor Road, at about 4 p.m., then left the store with money.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips that help solve cases.
