Raleigh Police Seek Bank Robber in Surveillance Video

Police are seeking a man who robbed a Raleigh bank Tuesday afternoon.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are seeking a man who robbed a Raleigh bank Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery happened at about 3:45 p.m. at the First Citizens Bank at Wade Avenue and Ridge Road.

The assailant, can be seen in surveillance video photos holding a handgun and carrying a dark case.

He is described as a black man, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 190 pounds. His hair was in dreadlocks that were pulled back into a ponytail. Witnesses estimated that if his hair had not been pulled back, it would have been about shoulder length.

He was last seen fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash in an early-2000s dark blue Ford Mustang heading west on Interstate 40 and exiting onto Harrison Avenue.
