Raleigh police were investigating a crash early Tuesday involving one of their own officers.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Raleigh police were investigating a crash early Tuesday involving one of their own officers.

Around 1:45 a.m., a police cruiser and a BMW crashed on Capital Boulevard near Fenton Street.

The BMW, carrying three people, ran off the road, down an embankment and landed in a creek, according to police.

The female driver of the BMW and the female police officer were both taken to WakeMed and were expected to be OK.

No other details about the crash were released.
