Raleigh police make second arrest in convenience store shooting

Raleigh police arrested a second man Thursday in connection with a shooting at a convenience store and a motel on New Bern Avenue.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested a second man Thursday in connection with a shooting at a convenience store and a motel on New Bern Avenue.

Breyon Jwan Bradford, 21, of 706 Friar Tuck Road, faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling/moving vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

He joins William Thomas Holden, 19, of 2429 Stevens Road, who faces similar charges in an incident that took place Tuesday outside the EZWay Mart near the intersection of New Bern Avenue and Trawick Road.
Police said gunshots hit two men – a 24-year-old outside the store and a 19-year-old who was inside the nearby Microtel Inn.
