RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are still searching for the person who shot and killed a convenience store owner last weekend.

A traffic checkpoint was conducted on Garner Road Sunday. That is near Bobby's Grocery where store owner Tariq Hussain's body was found. Officers hoped to identify drivers during the checkpoint who were in the area before and after Hussain's slaying.

Hussain, 52, was likely shot during a robbery, officers said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 919-226-CRIME.

Detectives also want to speak with people who were at Bobby’s Grocery prior to the murder. They are asking anyone who was there who has not already spoken with police to call 919-890-3555.
