Raleigh man killed in wreck near I-540 in Morrisville
A 26-year-old Raleigh man died early Saturday after crashing his SUV on the ramp from Aviation Parkway to Interstate 540 East in Morrisville, state Highway Patrol officials said.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — A 26-year-old Raleigh man died early Saturday after crashing his SUV on the ramp from Aviation Parkway to Interstate 540 East in Morrisville, state Highway Patrol officials said.
According to investigators, Addison James Kaylid was driving a Ford SUV about 95 mph when he lost control on the ramp, ran off the road and hit a tree.
The SUV caught fire following the wreck, which happened at about 4:15 a.m., troopers said.
Kaylid was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities closed the ramp to I-540 for about four hours while they investigated the wreck.
