RALEIGH, N.C. — A 28-year-old Raleigh man was arrested and charged Friday with second-degree rape.

Timothy Joseph Combs, of 3910-H Hylton Drive, is also charged with two counts of second-degree sexual offense.

Combs is accused of assaulting a 21-year-old “who was at the time physically helpless” on Feb. 1, a search warrant alleged.

A Raleigh police woman said that the victim's incapacitation was medically related.

Combs remained in the Wake County jail Sunday under a $750,000 bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for Monday.
